  • Visa for Yangon, Myanmar

We are going on holiday to Thailand In March and my Thai wife (also has British Passport) wants to visit Yangon for 3 days.

I believe I will need a visa - where is the best place to apply for this?

British passport holders can apply online for an e-VISA

The MM Gov Official e- Visa : https://evisa.moip.gov.mm/
Using a Thai Passport your wife will get up to 14 days Visa-Free entry.
You will need to nominate an entry point IE Yangon International Airport, there are two other airports available and four land crossings (for e-Visa) you dont need to exit by the same entry point, for example last time I went had an exam in Yangon, so entry point was Yangon International Airport, then went to Nay Pyi Taw (National Capital) and onto Mandalay and flew back to Bangkok from there.
Dont leave it to the last minute to apply for the e-Visa as it can take a few days for confirmation.
Good Luck and enjoy your trip.
