  • Thailand looking into revamping of its visa rules ?

Thailand is looking into revamping of its visa rules to make it easier for expats and long-term tourists to stay in the country. Could the penny have dropped, that it may make economic sense to make it easier when dealing with Thai bureaucracy ?

I feel the opposite has been happening these past few years. The Tm 30 fiasco and the reporting of funds still in place 3 months after visa extension granted. I always though the 800,000 was in place for emergency medical treatment as that would be logical but if you use it you are out full stop. Some will say these are old requirements, but they were never enforced. The vaccine fiasco is the latest for me which proves we are just not wanted here. Just leave all your money on the way out.
