          • Looks good.
Have used the same glass bricks for the shower room and should not used them from the ground up as you haven't.
Dont know what your guys have used as sealant but ours used just builders mastic and it has discoloured very quickly so muggins here will probably have to scrape it all out and re do with anti mould sealant when there next. I wasnt there at the time they did it

              Thanks
Yeah we liked the glass bricks, adds a bit more light in the shower area
No sealant used yet, but they are using the mould proof grout for the tiles, the rest has just been cement up to now

              • Someone in the Village going to do is stint as a Monk, its a bit more lively than the other one Ohm went to. The music was deafening.

                • Its a big thing being a Monk for two weeks or two years in the army. When Jan's son did the Monk thing it cost me an arm and a leg Village party same as above etc . On the first night he had only been in the Temple for a couple of hours....phone rings , Boo can you find me a mosquito net getting bitten. later more phone, need water and electric kettle for hot chocolate. I thought being a Monk was going without. Wrong.
Still it beats going into the army and it was a great party.

                  • Melnathan, I also thought monks were supposed to do without until I have seen many of them being driven round in top of the range Toyotas lol. I wouldn't grudge them a mosquito net though

                    • The tiling is coming along, but to me its a strange way of doing things. No windows or doors in yet, so I am hoping the dust, grit and rain does cause too many issues with scratching and raising the tiles. But I am thankful people are working at all, this is the second group of tilers we have had in, its a slow process. Wont be using the company again.

                      • All the tiling in the house is done, it just needs grouting, they have started tiling the balcony and stairs
They have built the kitchen units, and the toilet unit, although Ohm aint happy with the toilet and they are redoing it (she was in BKK for a few days and came back to it)
The architrave around the windows and columns has been done
Still a fair bit to go yet

Mrs had sent these from Surin, safety first, but LINE and FB are blocked in China so only seen today.Last year about a mile from these photos there is a rice packing plant which has its own coffee shop (nice, recommended) but some workers were set a task of repairing a sign, they got a Forklift at its maximum height with another guy balancing on one of the forks to reach the sign, I was driving by at the time of the upward movement, I had to pull over to make sure I was witnessing this and not dreaming it.

Last year we did a dry plant and this year we decided to do it wet because you get more rice at the end of it. But its a lot harder. Dry again next year

                              • Stunning scenery. I'm in Kalasin now and rode a thirty km cycle track this morning, starting at 6am, across the rice fields. Simply stunning. When I got back the outlaws were quizzical as to why my friend and I love it so much. Long may they remain so as it's one part of Thailand neither the tourists nor comfy, rich Thais have managed to mess up. The people in those areas are different gravy also. I'd recommend any forum members planning on staying in the sticks to try it.

                                Great snaps, Wayne. Many thanks.
