I write to relate the sad passing away of Chris Buck a member of this forum for many years. Chris was a controversial member at times, would speak his mind, and could be disagreeable.

I met Chris during a forum get-together around 2005. Chris was a wheelchair user. He told me that on one trip to Thailand he had gone swimming in a river upcountry and the next thing he knew he woke up in a care home in North London, having had his legs amputated. Chris enjoyed remembering his trips to Pattaya over a few beers and one of his wife's delicious currys.

I remember Chris Buck - he certainly kept the Moderators very busy in the ‘naughties’. It’s always sad to learn of the passing of a forum member, even those who were controversial and mischievous.

Thank you for letting us know

Did Chris elaborate on what happened? There must be quite a story behind that.
