You have a couple of options when deciding on a system to receive Thai Global Network.

Visit any satellite TV shop and choose a digital satellite receiver at a cost of between £125 and £400+.

Hook this up to a 80cm* dish and away you go.

Spectrum Satellite can offer the following solution:

Complete Thai TV setup fully installed (M25 area only)

  • Digital satellite receiver (Technomate, Echostar or Samsung)
  • 80cm dish with 0.3db lnb
  • Fully fitted £220

Skyscope Satellites & Aerials can offer the following solution:

Complete Thai TV setup fully installed (North West England)

  • Digital satellite receiver (Technomate, Echostar or Samsung)
  • 80cm dish with 0.3db lnb
  • Fully fitted £220

Another option is to sign up for a Sky digital box and hook this up to an 80cm* dish, aim it at Hotbird 13°E and your done.

Sky is the cheaper option BUT this is not what Sky intend the box to be used for and some satellite shops will tell you this can't be done!

If you already have a Sky box and minidish then you have two options:

  1. Purchase a second dish (80cm*) plus a small A+B box which allows you to switch between the two dishes. NB. Some local authorities require you to apply for planning permission before installing a second dish.

  2. Replace your minidish with an 85cm* dish and dual LNB kit, plus a small A+B box** which allows you to switch between the two LNBs.

  3. Dish with dual LNBManual A+B Switch

Thai TV and many others can then be programmed via your Sky remote contol as extra channels.

    * Dish size requirements may vary depending on your location
** An alternative to a manual A+B box is a dish-mounted auto-switch which requires only one cable running from the dish to the receiver.
