Tourist Visa would be the simplest option. £28, and you can stay for up to 60 days if you decide to stay a bit longer. More here http://www.thaiembassyuk.org.uk/newversion/visa/visa_tourist.html

I think you will find visa fee's are waived now untill 31'st march 2011
You still have to pay the £8.00 return postage fee.

    Hi Mahdam,

Thanks for that. Where did you find that too? Would be very handy as i will need to get one for my son too, i assume age bears no special treatment? He will be 6mths old.

    Thanks,
    Lee

Apply by post to the Thai Consulate in Hull for a fast service http://www.thaiconsul-uk.com/?gclid=CJnysJGxk6MCFY4A4wodnhBtmA

60 day tourist visa's are free at the moment so you might as well get your sone one as well.

Are you staying in LOS for the full 5 weeks or are you planning a trip to a neighbouring country? If so then a visa may not be required.
