Instructing Outlook Express to display Thai Fonts:

These instructions apply to Outlook Express 6, instructions may vary for other versions.

 

1. Open Outlook Express.
2. Click Tools then Options...
3. The Options window will appear:

 



 

4. Click Read then Fonts... The Fonts window will appear:

 



 

5. Choose Thai from the list of languages.
6. Select your Proportional Font, Fixed-width font and Font size from the list.
7. Click OK.
8. Back in the Options window click OK again.

 

You should only need to carry out the above procedure once. Thereonafter Outlook Express is fully capable of displaying Thai fonts. You may occasionally need to carry out the following to force Outlook Express to display a mail message using Thai fonts:

 

1. Whenever you view an email containing Thai fonts but cannot see the Thai characters, click View then Encoding:

 



 

2. Click the selection Thai (Windows), the page will then refresh and you should be able to see Thai characters correctly.
